Highbridge Street viewed from the old Refinery Bridge, looking east. The tall building was the County Court. On the right are the Ordnance Arms Public House and the Alms Houses. All these buildings were destroyed by a V2 Rocket, in March 1945. This photograph c1895.

Thank you for the photo - my great-great grandmother lived in one of the Alms Houses in 1901 and prior to that in Ordnance Yard - thanks to your photo I now have a direct link to the past
